This is where you will find me. I have filled a set of scrapbooks since 2017. I am an avid film watcher. The scrapbook is in the form of a dairy to my inner world. The pages in the scrapbook show my immediate response to the individual films —through scribbles, jottings, and dabs of color — trying to capture the predominant ideas that influenced me at that time.

This is part of a campaign on “Unity in Diversity” that my school participated in. I chose the theme of generosity. In order to depict the intuitive gratitude towards the medical profession, I chose the metaphor of a fetus floating in amniotic fluid.

Are we besieged by our own artificial creations? The face is gradually being surrounded by boundaries. The initial thought was to use only paper clips. In the second stage, I added straightforward facial features in white acrylic. In the final stage, I discarded the painted eyes and replaced those with paper binders to preserve the poignancy and the three-dimensionality of the mask.
